WDMI BRANDING
WDMI is the leading reference in the distribution of refurbished IT equipment in Portugal.
During my internship at WDMI, I had the opportunity to work as a Graphic Designer, contributing to various projects that significantly enhanced the company's visual identity. One of my main tasks was to develop banners for WDMI’s new website. After carefully analysing the brand’s identity and the website’s objectives, I created a banner that reflected the company’s innovation and modernity, ensuring a visually engaging and effective communication piece.
Gradients and yellow were introduced into the brand’s colour palette and overall visual communication. The new WDMI logo captures the essence of the company’s innovative approach while maintaining a modern and professional aesthetic. The design features a sleek and geometric form in vibrant purple and yellow gradients, symbolising innovation and a dynamic market presence.
To celebrate WDMI’s 13th anniversary, I created the slogan "13 anos a configurar a nossa sorte" (which translates to “13 years configuring our luck”). This slogan plays with the common superstition surrounding the number 13, transforming it into a symbol of success and resilience. It is also linked to the launch of WDMI’s new website, which, for the first time, includes a configuration tool for customers, marking a significant milestone in the company’s evolution.
I designed both a GIF and a video animation in After Effects. The animation presents the WDMI logo unfolding dynamically: it starts in the shape of a “W”, which then rotates to reveal the number “3”, symbolising the 13th anniversary. The animation concludes with the final stroke of the “3” unfolding to complete the number “1”, forming “13” in a seamless and engaging sequence.
Beyond the logo and slogan, I designed a series of banners for social media platforms, including Facebook and LinkedIn. These banners were created to engage both employees and the general audience, reflecting WDMI’s renewed visual identity and celebrating its achievements. The design of the banners aligns with the company’s new branding, incorporating the updated logo, colours, and slogan, ensuring a cohesive brand presence across all digital touchpoints.
As part of the rebranding, I also developed a Company Profile in PDF format to introduce WDMI to clients and stakeholders. This document was designed in line with the new visual identity, incorporating the updated branding elements throughout. I carefully selected and captured photographs that complement the company’s aesthetic, adding a professional and authentic touch.
The profile includes detailed information about WDMI’s values, mission, and history, providing a comprehensive insight into the company’s ethics and operations. This PDF serves as a key marketing asset, used both in digital and print formats to effectively communicate the company’s brand story.
